Old Main at Woolford College

Eric's  mom came up with this grooms cake for the rehearsal dinner.  It has special meaning to the couple. Eric and Le Ann love story started her so the black book is titled as such.  I tried to create as much detail as possible so when the bride and groom entered the room for the dinner they would know with out a doubt that this was Old Main.

Congratulations!  Many many blessing to you both.

Rebecca and Wills Wedding Cake

Rebecca and Will celebrated their wedding with this elegant cake.  The top tier was designed from her wedding dress.  The middle tier was covered in a lace pattern and the bottom tier was a more traditional design with the garland and then I added 3 drop pearls at each swag.  If you click on the cake to get a better picture you can see sugar diamonds sprinkle on the top around the monogram.  The sugar diamonds are new on the market and Rebecca was my first bride to have them on her cake.  I did sprinkle more on the other tiers along with edible glitter.

Congratulations and may God bless you and keep you!

Swirls and dots using silver dragees decorated their simply elegant cake. They love chocolate covered strawberries so I made a bride and groom using strawberries to top off their cake with the "W" monogram.

Congratulations Christina and Jonathan and we wish you many years of blessings and happiness.

Magnolia Room in Rock Hill

I was a part of a Bridal Show in Rock Hill, SC and this was my display. I met a lot of wonderful people in all the different venues of the wedding industry. If you are looking for a beautiful place to have your wedding, you may want to check out the Magnolia Room.

Crystals and Pearls

For the Bridal Show at the Magnolia Room, I decided to try out beads on a wedding cake. The large crystal ball held all the beads flowing on wires down the side of the cake.

This cake would be beautiful outside on a sunny day or in the evening with special lighting on it or even around the cake.

On the Way

I created this car with the bride and groom for a wedding show that I will be a part of in a couple weeks. It was really fun to make. It would make a cute cake topper for on top of a wedding cake.

The Bridal Show in Kannoplis

I was a part of the Chelish Moore Foundation project this past weekend. This is a foundation that was formed to bless a couple with a complete wedding from beginning to end.

These 6 wedding cakes are a sample of my work.

Cup Cake for the Bride and Groom

These 2 cup cakes can be designed in any color based on your wedding. The bride has a rose, while the groom has a bow tie. Behind each are a set of fans to add some flare and these can be made in white or any other color.

If you are interested in serving cup cakes at your wedding, here is one idea.

Show Piece Wedding Cake

I am now offering a Show Piece Wedding Cake. This faux cake would be the center piece of your reception for the entire evening. Along side would be a smaller version for you and your groom to cut for pictures. You could serve this cake to your bridal party. Your guest would be served their wedding cake at the table from sheet cakes.

The design would be your choice just as if it were a real cake. The bride and groom can select from any cake flavor and filling for the sheet cakes as well as their cake. There would not be any mess from cutting the cake. No long lines waiting for a piece of cake because the cake would be served to your guest.

Married on 1/1/11

Jessica and Alex were married on on the very first day of the new year. Jessica wanted a romantic winter wonderland scene for their reception. I put glass blocks with white lights under their 4 tiered square wedding cake. The idea was to keep it simple and elegant. Large purple poinsettias accented the cake.

For her guest they served strawberry cake with cream cheese filling and a white cake with chocolate butter cream. For their cake, they selected a chocolate peanut butter cake with chocolate mousse.

Erica's and Chris's Wedding

After Erica and Chris became husband and wife, they shared this wedding cake. The cake is kind of traditional with the rope swag but also kind of contemporary with the colors and black band. The red roses were made out of gum paste. The top double heart in silver tied in with her wedding colors.

Congratulations!

A Salute to Our Military

For several months I had been looking for a service person to bless with a wedding cake but I kept hitting a brick wall. One day I decided to call my cousin, Bonnie who lives in Iowa and as we were catching up on life she told me that her son, Kyle was getting married in a few weeks in Florida on the beach. I thought I had heard he was in the military so I told Bonnie my story of looking for some one in the military to give a cake away to. Bonnie called Megan and set the plans in motion.

Megan and I came up with this cake based on their invitations. The bubble flowers were incorporated all around the cake in a random pattern. We topped it off with a bow.

The cake flavors were:
Chocolate kahlua with barvarian cream.
Double chocolate with raspberry filling.
White cake with white chocolate butter cream.

It was such a blessing to be apart of Megan and Kyle's wedding and to see some relatives that I rarely ever see.

Blessing Upon Your Marriage and Life Together!

Ashley and Tyler's Wedding

Ashley selected a wedding cake featuring gerbra daisies in four colors with pretty pink fondant ribbon bands and bows. At the center of each bow was a small silver double heart. The daisies were placed all around the cake as well as the cake topper. Around the base of the cake, floated candles and more daisies on a puffy white table cloth.

Congratulations, Ashley and Tyler

Heather and Brent's Wedding Cake

Heather selected this white wedding cake topped off with their monogram as their topper. The three different white flowers were placed all around the cake while small dots decorated each tier. A full shell border finished off each layer.

The cakes were a butter pound cake and a chocolate pound cake.

Brent's Groomscake

The night before Brent and Heather were married they celebrated after the rehearsal with this cake created by his mom and myself. She had purchased scrap book icons of all the things he loves. Front and center is his tux and the Bible. Below that are golden retrievers and Heather designated by the nurses cap and a heart and word that make him think of her. Next to that was a palm tree representing their honey moon. Around the cake were all of his loves like fishing, drinking coffee and beer, lawn tools, dice and cooking.

Fifty Golden Years

Randy and Sharon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends and this cake.

The cake features two plaques and two rings and lots of white and golden dusted roses. A patch work with gold beads went all around the cake.

LaWren's Wedding

This fun cake of over 600 small yellow flowers decorated this 4 tier cake. Black fondant band went around each tier while the yellow and black flowers cascaded down. On top were their initials.

The top and 3rd tier were red velvet with cream cheese filling, the 2nd tier was chocolate with butter cream and crushed oreo's. The bottom tier was a white cake with rum filling.

Renee's Wedding Cake

This sweet wedding cake reflected who Renee is. The patchwork quilting on the top and bottom tiers were accented with white and silver beads while the middle tier had a swirl design also accented with the beads. Fresh flowers were placed on top and single roses on each of the next two tiers. The monogram was placed in the middle of the cake instead of on top. A burgundy ribbon band went all around each layer.

50th Anniversary

This three tiered anniversary cake is very traditional in design. A double swag and lots of shell up and down and around the cake made is lovely. We decided to switch from the traditional butter cream rose to gum paste roses that were finished off with luster dust. I made the gum paste ivy leaves to coordinate with the ivy that swirled up each pedestal.

The cakes were all vanilla with butter cream filling.

May you have many more wonderful years together!

Ivory and White Wedding

This lovely cake was created by the bride, Dottie, from a combination of 3 cakes. Dottie had a beautiful vision of what she wanted for her wedding cake. The base icing was ivory along with the bow, while the lace work was done in white. Glitter was added to the bow and cake for a beautiful, shimmery touch.
